And the winner is...

The elections are over and all we can say is...Wow!

We had a great time learning all about the electoral process and voting; a huge thank you to all of the families who rocked the vote!
We had a blast reading books about dinosaurs, octopodes, owls, sheep and worms.
Highlights of our election:

-The Bookworms. They were a great addition to our programs and we enjoyed the healthy snacks provided by Miss Imogen and the Lansdowne/Yeadon Elm Street Program!

-Rallies
We had so much fun reading all of favorite books and learning about the different animals.

-Debates
The storytimes were a blast!

Now, without further ado, and help from the always fabulous Miss Abbe, here we announce the winner of the Mary Case Buchanan Family Room Presidential Election!

Pictures from the voting can be found on Facebook! (If you like what you see, follow our page for updates!)

Thank you again for everyone who attended the rallies, helped name the characters, voted and made this an excellent experience for all!

Freestyle Friday - Guest Blogger!

Happy Friday All!
Today we are pleased to announce a new feature: Freestyle Friday. While we will still post regular content, on Fridays we will also have guest bloggers. Our first guest is Erica K. Erica is a sixth grader who enjoys reading, she set a goal of reading 100 books this summer! She wanted to share her thoughts about the library's summer program.

Erica enjoying learning a trick during the Magic Workshop!

The Lansdowne Library is almost always having cool programs like Magic
Workshop, Science in the Summer and Movietime Mondays. I could never chose
favorites. They're all so fun. Movietime Mondays are fun because we
always watch super cool movies like "Nim's Island" and high School Musical
3." We also get free snacks and drinks. Magic Workshop is fun
because we learn awesome magic tricks and we got to see a five star magic
show. Now in Science in the Summer we do stellar projects. My
favorite project was getting the DNA out of strawberries.
Comment on this and visit the Lansdowne Library!

We invite you all to send us e-mail and comment on this and other posts. If you would like to submit a piece for Freestyle Friday, please see Ms. Rachee or e-mail her: lacsd@delco.lib.pa.us.
