November at the Lansdowne Public Library

Hello Library Friends!
The library staff all wish you well and hope for speedy cleanup after the hurricane. We hope that you were not too inconvenienced and that there was no major damage.

November is right around the corner and we wanted to share information about upcoming events. Please see the calendar for complete programming.

The library is an official polling place and we will be open. Visit and take part in our Family Room Election. The race is tight between our candidates! Who will be president of the Family Room? Stop by the library and vote! Click on this link to see the platforms for each candidate.

 Friday, November 9 beginning at 4PM

 Alex the Lion, Marty the Zebra, Gloria the Hippo, and Melman the Giraffe are still fighting to get home to their beloved Big Apple and of course, King Julien, Maurice and the Penguins are all along for the comedic adventure. Their journey takes them through Europe where they find the perfect cover: a traveling circus, which they reinvent – Madagascar style. All ages welcome, children 8 and under must be accompanied by parent or responsible guardian 

LIBRARY CLOSURES The Library will close at 6:00 PM on, Wednesday, November 21st and be closed Thursday, November 22nd and Friday, November 23rd for Thanksgiving Holiday. We wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! BOOK BUDDIES Wednesdays at 4 New readers can practice their skills by reading with tween and teen volunteers. Registration is requested. For more information or to register please call 610-623-0239 ext 5. Tweens and teens who would like to volunteer can call Miss Abbe at 610-623-0239 ext 4 to register.

Wednesday, November 28 beginning at 4:00 PM Enjoy a healthy snack and learn about composting. All ages are invited to attend.
