Day 5: NaNoWriMo

Good Day Friends!
We apologize for missing yesterday and hope that didn't derail our writing.
Today we are backing up a few days: Tuesday was Election Day and we want to know what you thought about the election. This is not an attempt to get to know what your political affiliation is; this is merely a way to have you talk about what happened on Election Day: Was your school closed? Did you have to eat lunch outside (when I was a kid gym was always cancelled on Election Day as the booths were housed in out gymnasium).
Thanks for writing along!

Day 3: NaNoWriMo

Have you gotten into a writing groove?
Join us for Day 3 of NaNoWriMo...
Today's bizarre holiday is Sandwich day! (this is repeated on our Teen Blog: I Blog, You Blog)

Describe your favorite sandwich!

For me it would have to be gooey mozzarella, ripe juicy tomatoes and fresh basil!
Yum! The very first time I had this wonderful concoction was years ago while working in a bakery. At the time I did not appreciate and did not care for tomatoes. However the owner of the bakery told me to give it a try and I have been hooked ever since!

Care to share your favorites?
Posts can be left here or on our Teen Blog: I Blog, You Blog.
Have fun and happy writing!
Now, where can I get a sandwich....

Day 2: NaNoWriMo

How are you all doing with NaNoWriMo?
Hope you are finding time to write!
This is supposed to be fun; relax and enjoy it!
Yesterday was National Authors Day. A belated look at that day:
Pretend you are the author of a book and write something about yourself.
For example...

Rachée, say it Rah-shay, wears many crocheted hats, among them are mom, crocheter, book lover, non-discriminating channel surfer, wogger and library type chick. When she is not sharing the random thoughts racing through her head, she is spending time with her tween-aged daughter, trying to tame her yarn addiction whilst completing the lot of UFOs around her house, attempting to renovate a house (OK; someone else is doing the physical work, she is merely overseeing it!) and learning new and exciting things to share with her library friends. In her free time she spends time writing bad poetry about her monkey disdain, getting whipped at Mario Kart Wii by her daughter and attempting to write the next best thing.

Can YOU write your own book flap?

Today we celebrate November as Peanut Butter Month.

What say YOU about Peanut Butter?

I sighed as I helped Mom unpack groceries. Once again she neglected my single request: Extra Chunky Peanut Butter.
'Mooooom!" I said with a sigh, "Why do you always get this creamy kind?"
She looked at me with a frown. "That peanut butter is good," she replied. "It was on sale and you can live with smooth!" She continued to unpack groceries muttering to herself about ungrateful kids and chunky bottoms.
I stashed the peanut butter in the pantry and darted upstairs, away from a mom who muttered but was stopped by a creamy, mushy, peanut buttery smelling thing that now stood in the door to my bedroom....

What happens next?
Can you help us celebrate Day 1 of NaNoWriMo by adding to our Peanut Butter story?
